Animatronics and Droids
Our animatronics team brings characters and props to life through mechanical design, crafted finishes and programmed movement.
From playful plush figures to horror characters and futuristic armour, each project explores how appearance and motion work together to create personality.
We build animatronics from small interactive plush up to life-sized characters. Our small and medium builds keep the barrier to entry low, so an animatronic character becomes an option for more attractions, displays and brands.
The work is led by our Animatronics Lead, Zi Yi, who brings characters to life with moving eyes, waggling ears and everything in between, and keeps tinkering until every mechanism feels right.
Stroke them and they respond like a pet. Ask a question and they can be programmed to reply, while their animated eyes come to life.
A range of character styles, scales and mechanisms.
Scary Bunny gives a familiar rabbit character a sinister twist with distressed fur, red eyes and a sharp-toothed grin. Moving eyelids, head turns, jaw movements and arm gestures create a range of unsettling expressions. Mounted on a compact base, it lends itself to horror themed displays and seasonal attractions.
A cat and a panda in soft plush with animated eyes. Stroke one and it responds like a pet; ask it a question and it can be programmed to reply. They are the characters in the video above.
A compact animatronic rabbit with soft white fur, pink ear details, a peach coloured ruff and a red bow. Gentle head turns and tilting movements give it a curious, friendly personality.
A lion inspired character in futuristic armour. Its animatronic framework turns the head, moves the shoulders and articulates the arms into pointing and raised fist poses. Red, silver and black armour, a sculpted mane, a segmented tail and illuminated details complete the design.
A compact animatronic character with a soft plush finish and a playful personality. Blinking eyes, head turns, tilting movements and animated ears and arms bring expression to its seated pose, with character audio for a lively display.
A larger plush animatronic with its own proportions. Head turns, gentle tilts, blinking eyes and moving ears and arms give it a curious, playful personality, with the same movement and character audio features as the compact version.
A metallic blue helmet with angular armour panels and illuminated blue eyes. A motorised mechanism lifts the upper panel and opens the front face panels to expose the internal structure, then closes again.
We build animatronics from small interactive plush characters you can hold up to life-sized figures. Tell us where the character will appear and how close visitors will get, and we will recommend a size.
The price depends on the size, the number of movements, the finish, and whether the character needs lighting or audio. Book a virtual consultation with our Mascot Character Consultants, who will review your character, quantity and timeline and prepare an accurate quote for your project.
